Highlights:

One year after becoming the first one seed to lose in the first round, Virginia redeems itself and wins the school's first national championship.  With this win and a 2016 Elite Eight finish with Virginia, Tony Bennett moves up to .667, tied for seventh place with Jay Wright, John Beilein and Frank Martin.  On the way to the championship, Bennett squeaks by Matt Painter and Purdue in the Elite Eight game, denying Purdue a trip to the Final Four.  In 2000, his father Dick, while coaching Wisconsin, also kept a Purdue team (coached by Gene Keady) from making the Final Four.
Texas Tech upsets Michigan (John Beilein), Gonzaga (Mark Few) and Michigan State (Tom Izzo) before losing to Virginia in the championship game to give Chris Beard enough games to debut on the list at .750 in third place.  If Tech had managed one more win, Beard would have debuted in first place, a feat not accomplished since 1992 when Steve Fisher did it after a second place finish (having won the championship in his first try in 1989).
Auburn makes it to the Elite Eight allowing Bruce Pearl to move up three places to sixteenth place.  Pearl has also taken Tennessee and Wisconsin-Milwaukee to the tournament.
Mike Krzyzewski remains in first place after Duke loses to Michigan State in the Elite Eight.  The loss prevents Krzyzewski from surpassing John Wooden in total number of Final Fours, at least for now...
