Highlights:

Ed Jucker comes within a whisker of being the first coach to win three titles in a row when Loyola-Chicago overcomes an early second half 15 point deficit and Cincinnati's stall to win the title in overtime.  Having won his first eleven tournament games, Jucker ties Phil Woolpert with most tournament wins before losing, Woolpert accomplishing the same feat seven years before with USF.  At 11-1, Jucker replaces Fred Taylor at the top of the list.
After a three year absence, former USF coaching great Phil Woolpert returns to college ball as San Diego's coach.  He brings his .867 tournament record with him, good for second place on the list.
After three trips to the Final Four in three tries, Illinois only wins one this year, dropping Harry Combes from third place to tied for seventh at .692.
Oregon State coach Slats Gill goes to the Final Four for the second time, lifting him above .500 to .533.
Lou Rossini debuts on the list after one win and two losses by New York U.
St. Joseph's wins two games, bumping Jack Ramsay up to .385, near the bottom of the list.
Once again, UCLA loses two games without a win, dropping John Wooden to .250, tied for dead last with Everett Shelton who actually won a title in 1943 with Wyoming.  Wooden has lost all four consolation games UCLA has played in.
